A laminar flow hood, also known as a laminar flow cabinet or clean bench, is a type of lab furniture designed to create a sterile work environment. It provides an aseptic space by directing air through a filtration system, usually a High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter, which removes contaminants such as dust, airborne particles, and microorganisms. There are two types of laminar flow hoods

Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood :- Air flows from the back of the hood towards the operator.
Vertical Laminar Flow Hood :- Air flows from the top of the hood down to the work surface.

These hoods are commonly used in laboratories working with sterile cultures, electronics, pharmaceuticals, or any field requiring contamination-free handling.
