Victory belongs to the most tenacious after all. Kabir Khan’s film celebrates this thought. It’s about building yourself as a champion, even when the world labels you as a chandu, chomu or looks at you as a laughing stock.
The story may give a vibe of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Forrest Gump but at the same time believe in the concept of hard work and talent to achieve everything.
The fact that made Chandu different from other sports where in movies like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Chak De whare one is dedicated to one particular sport. Vise Varsa Chandu is someone tried his hand in multiple sports like wrestling, boxing and swimming. Sounds ambitious but at the same time funny for which also got criticized by the people around him.
The way Kartik Aryan has carried himself in the movie looks impressive and at the same time it was a clever move to cast him in a role like this.. it was one of the best characters played by him as there was a certain ease in his performance that seen for the first time in his career. Along with it the king of physical transformation he did for his may remind of Farhan Akhtar in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Coming to the supporting cast Bhuvan Arora as Chandu’s sidekick deserves a special mention for role. Talented actors like Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz gave a much needed support to the movie but at the such kind of movie needs an inspiring music like who can forget the tittle track of “Chak De “ used to played in every sporting event and even today the song gives goosebumps to every Indian so deserves better support from the music director.
Kabir Khan has own expertise in making feel good and positives movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and 83. The director is known for getting out best of his actor whether it is Salman Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ranveer Singh in 83 or now Kartik Aryan in Chandu Champion he knows how use his resources in the best way,
