Everybody has various priorities when it involves planning vacations. When planning our ideal vacation, every one of us has a different set of requirements in mind, ranging from site and amenities to local food and weather.
In addition, the global hospitality sector closely monitors larger market trends, exploring the needs and preferences of customers across all market segments.
The growing proportion of Generation Z and Millennial tourists who are staying at luxury resorts is one trend that has proven to be very noteworthy in recent years. The growing number of younger travelers taking more costly trips does not, however, indicate that they have the same expectations as Baby Boomers and Gen X travelers. Because of these travelers, there is a high demand for Luxury penthouses for sale in Dubai.
“Bleisure” is on the rise
“Bleisure” travel incorporates aspects of both leisure and business travel, as the term implies. Younger generations are showing a stronger inclination to combine work and travel, taking advantage of the comforts and leisure that come with five-star resorts without having to sacrifice their professional obligations.
Cebr, acting on the part of Edyn, performed research that revealed that while choosing to lodge overseas, 51% of Millennials and Generation Z participants considered remote working possibilities to be very significant.
Increased freedom to choose when to take holidays and the option to work from anywhere are making it possible for “bleisure” travelers to benefit from cheaper taxes.
To accommodate the constantly changing and hybrid lives of younger, tech-savvy travelers, many luxury resorts these days are tailoring their offers to suit these needs and adding extra amenities to make it easier for those who want to work while visiting. As a result, many locations are increasing occupancy during what are often off-peak travel periods.
Travel alone
A growing proportion of Gen Z and Millennial customers are indeed beginning families, but many more are seeking out experiences with solo travel. Condor Ferries released research showing that 26% of Millennials had already taken solo vacations and 58% believe they would do one in the future.
Vacationing with loved ones can be a lot of fun, but traveling alone lets people explore new places and push their boundaries without worrying about other people’s demands.
Making a good first impression
Nowadays, a lot of young people travel to aesthetically beautiful places so they can post videos and photos of their trips on social media. 48% of respondents said that Instagram has influenced their decision about where to go on vacation next year.
“Instagrammability” may appear to be a flimsy justification for a trip, but in my opinion, this trend speaks to a deeper need among younger tourists: the prioritization of immersive travel experiences.
An emphasis on genuineness
A large number of Gen Z and Millennial customers are searching for luxurious hotels that provide more than just “bling.” Younger tourists are looking for experiences that are different from the norm and give them a chance to fully engage with the customs and history of the places they are visiting and stay at short-term villa rentals in Dubai.
86 percent of Millennials intentionally avoid tourist destinations in favor of traveling for cultural enrichment, according to Condor Ferries research. Furthermore, a majority of the participants (60%) consider genuine culture to be a crucial aspect of their vacation experience.
