Any damage to the spinal cord resulting from a compulsion, incision, or contusion that occurs anywhere along the spinal cord from the base of the head to the lower back is referred to as a spinal cord injury (SCI). The interruption of the spinal cord’s function is caused by the distal extent of the injury.
Rehabilitation becomes increasingly important because prolonged survival is the standard for traumatic spinal cord injuries (SCI), which are among the most debilitating orthopedic ailments. The primary goals of rehabilitation are to increase physical functionality, avoid further difficulties, and make reintegration into society easier. The most efficient way to recover from SCI is through a multidisciplinary, team-based approach.
