Phulara ridge trek

The Phulara ridge trek is a lesser-known but stunning trail in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, offering a rare ridge-walking experience that sets it apart from other Himalayan treks. Situated at an altitude of around 3,696 meters, this trek showcases sweeping views of iconic peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpunch, and Kala Nag. Beginning from the charming village of Sankri, the trail winds through dense forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron, eventually opening up to the expansive Pushtara meadows.

What makes this trek unique is the long walk along a narrow ridge, with dramatic drop-offs on both sides and panoramic Himalayan views that stretch for miles. Lasting around 6 days, the trek is moderately difficult and well-suited for both beginners with some experience and seasoned trekkers. The ideal seasons to do this trek are May–June and September–November, when the weather is clear and the landscapes are at their most vibrant.
