DGCA or Directorate general of civil aviation is the authority that controls civil and commercial aviation in India. It permits several pilot licenses including Student Pilot License (SPL) , Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) for training pilots.
