KITians won 1st place in national finals and selected for IEEE R10 International Robotics Competition 2024 to be held at Tokyo,Japan.

We are over the moon to announce that KIT – Kalaignarkarunanidhi Institute of Technology Students’ project, “Underwater Robot for Inspection and Salvage,” has been selected for the final rounds of the 2024 IEEE Region 10 Robotics competition!🌊🤖
The finals will be held at the Meiji University Nakano Campus, Tokyo on August 29 & 30, 2024. We’re required to demonstrate the successful working of our robot and display a poster to the judging panel.
IEEE Region 10 will provide financial assistance for two team members who are IEEE student members to attend the finals in Tokyo. Also, the two-member team will be funded to attend the R10 Student/Young Professionals/Women-in-Engineering/Life Members (SYWL) Congress on August 31 and September 01, 2024, at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center, Tokyo.
Here’s a tentative schedule for our exciting journey:

📅 Aug 30: Robotics Competition Day at Meiji University Nakano Campus
📅 Aug 31: Poster Session at National Olympics Memorial Youth Center
📅 Sep 01: Keynote Lecture on Robotics and potential awards ceremony!
