The cargo compartment is where dogs, cats, and rabbits can be transported as checked luggage; in-cabin pet travel is not allowed, with the exception of service dogs that help people with impairments. Two copies of the “Passenger’s Declaration for Live Animal” form must be turned in at check-in, and passengers must provide EVA Air reservations at least 48 hours’ notice before departure. It is necessary to have current health and immunization records. Due to health concerns, several breeds—especially brachycephalic (snub-nosed) animals—are prohibited from traveling.
