Elie Saab: Pioneering Lebanese Designer in Haute Couture

Elie Saab stands among the few designers who have significantly impacted the trillion-dollar fashion industry. He became the first foreign designer admitted to Italy’s Camera Nazionale della Moda and, in 2000, was invited by the French syndicate to join the elite group authorized to label their collections as haute couture. In 2006, he achieved honorary membership in the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, joining the ranks of Valentino, Fendi, and Giorgio Armani. This recognition opened doors to international fashion, solidifying Saab’s influence and paving the way for future Lebanese designers.
