The panchayat elections are now being voted on. It will conclude at 4:00 pm, having begun at 8:00 am. Votes will be counted at the polling places following the conclusion of the voting. Tight security measures were in place on Tuesday as Punjab’s gram panchayat elections got underway, according to officials.

Voting for the positions of “sarpanch” and “panch,” according to the officials, will take place via ballot boxes starting at 8 a.m. and running until 4 p.m. The officials also mentioned that the ballots will be tallied at the polling places after the polls close.
