Canada CRS Score calculator
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks immigration candidates based on factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, job offers, and adaptability. It applies to three Express Entry programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
- Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
IRCC conducts regular draws, selecting candidates with the highest CRS score for permanent residence (PR) in Canada.
CRS Calculation Factors
- Age – Max 12 Points
- Education – Max 25 Points (Requires ECA for foreign credentials)
- Work Experience – Max 15 Points (Full-time or equivalent part-time work)
- Language Skills – Max 28 Points (English/French proficiency)
- Arranged Employment – Max 10 Points (LMIA-approved job offer)
- Adaptability – Max 25 Points (Spouse’s qualifications, Canadian ties, etc.)
Ways to Improve Your CRS Score
- Boost Language Proficiency – CLB 9+ can add 136 points; French adds 74 points.
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) – Adds 600 points.
- Job Offer (LMIA Approved) – Can add up to 200 points.
- Canadian Education – Adds up to 30 points.
- Spouse’s Qualifications – Adds up to 40 points.
- Canadian Work Experience – Adds up to 180 points.
Regular Express Entry draws mean candidates can improve their scores for a better chance at an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
Express Entry Points Calculator
To qualify for Canada PR through Express Entry, you must score at least 67 points and apply under one of the following programs:

CRS Score Breakdown (Max: 1200 Points)
- Core/Human Capital Factors + Spouse Factor = 500 Points
- Transferability Factors = 100 Points
- Additional Points (e.g., PNP, job offer) = 600 Points
PNP CRS Score Requirements
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
- Minimum 400 CRS points required.
- Applicants must meet Ontario’s human capital priorities stream criteria.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
- Minimum 60/100 points required.
- Selected Express Entry profiles receive 600 additional CRS points.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)
- Minimum 67/100 points required.
- Must have a CRS score of at least 300.
- 600 CRS points added upon receiving a nomination.
- Preference for candidates with an Alberta job offer, Alberta education, or family in Alberta.
