Airline staff have several additional responsibilities when handling unaccompanied minors to ensure the child’s safety and comfort throughout the journey. From the moment the child arrives at the airport, staff are responsible for checking travel documents, confirming the identity of the guardian dropping off the child, and completing the required unaccompanied minor forms. They escort the child through security and ensure priority boarding, allowing time to familiarize the child with their surroundings.
