Brain tumors can take many different forms. Brain tumors can strike a person at any time. There are essentially two types of brain tumors: benign and malignant. While the malignant form of brain tumor is cancerous, the benign form is not. Certain cancers start in other body areas and progress to the brain, where they manifest as secondary brain tumors.
