Vat Savitri Purnima pooja vidhi is a ritual performed by married Hindu women for their husbands’ well-being and longevity. Women dress in traditional clothes, fast, and gather for the main ritual of worshiping a banyan tree (Vat Vriksha). They offer water, sweets, fruits, and sacred threads to the tree, recite the story of Savitri and Satyavan, and tie threads around the tree while praying for their husbands’ long lives. The pooja concludes with an aarti and singing of devotional songs, followed by breaking the fast and sharing the prasad. Visit Bhaktvatsal.com for more information.
